REVIEW : KIKAMORA -- In The Henhouse (EP, 2016)

Kikamora is hard rock band that hailed from U.K. and its sound can be described as alternative heavy rock with some bluesier feeling as well that makes the final result extremely interesting. They were formed back in 2015 and since then they released a 4-track EP, "Old Rosie", and toured around U.K. to promote their music.

Last year Kikamora released a new EP with the title "In The Henhouse". As I mentioned above Kikamora's sound is, imho, alternative heavy rock with heavy riffs, a power rhythm section, excellent vocal lines and all five songs in this EP show the abilities this band has to offer in the near future.

"Twist My Arm" is probably the best tune here; a big groove, amazing and raspy vocals, a tight as hell rhythm section and great guitar lines compose this breathtaking track!!!  The alternative elements can be shown in "Methadream" while in "Suffer Unto Me" the band delivers a superb and moodier mid-tempo rocker.

A surprisingly good mini album from a band that got the whole 'package' to become big!!

Rating : 8,5/10
